What Is Occupational Therapy?
Sahara Health provides Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment and treatment sessions for children and youth. Pediatric occupational therapy (OT) helps children build the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional skills they need for everyday life. From tying shoelaces to focusing in class, our therapists work with families to make daily tasks easier, more enjoyable, and achievable.
Who do we help?
Our pediatric OT supports children of all ages, from toddlers to teens, with:
Developmental Delays – reaching milestones like crawling, walking, and self-feeding
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – improving social interaction, communication, and sensory regulation
ADHD & Attention Challenges – boosting focus, organization, and classroom participation
Sensory Processing Difficulties – helping children feel calm, safe, and confident in their environments
Fine & Gross Motor Delays – skills like handwriting, coordination, and balance
Feeding & Self-Care Challenges – learning independence in dressing, eating, and grooming
Every child deserves to feel capable in their daily routines—whether it’s tying their shoes, using a pencil, or staying focused in class.
Our pediatric occupational therapist uses creative, play-based activities to help children develop the motor, sensory, and emotional skills they need to succeed at home, at school, and beyond.
Functional Skills Training
At Sahara Health, our occupational therapists focus on helping pts build and restore the skills needed for everyday life. Through goal-oriented and activity-based interventions, we help pts improve independence and confidence in meaningful daily tasks such as self-care, school, and work activities.
Sensory & Motor Integration
Our therapists use evidence-based sensory and motor techniques to support regulation, coordination, and body awareness. By combining movement and play-based activities, we help pts develop the foundational skills needed for focus, emotional control, and successful participation in daily routines.
Education & Collaboration
We believe that education and collaboration are essential parts of the therapeutic process. By empowering pts and families with practical strategies, home programs, and personalized recommendations, we ensure consistent support across all environments and promote lasting progress in each pt’s daily life.
